Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens nestles on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain and Devils Peak. It is here where Jan van Riebeeck, in 1657 handed out the first sawing rights, until 1811 the ground of the present Gardens was owned eventually bought over by Cecil John Rhodes in 1895 but on he's death bequeathed the property back to the nation.
It is here where you can spend a lazy Sunday afternoon listening to summer sunset concerts.
